This web site is dedicated to our son Nathan. Nathan was born on July 18, 2000, with Trisomy 13, a very rare chromosomal disorder. He went to be with the Lord on July 29, 2000.

Our mission is to take our pain and experience and turn it around for good to help others. This is the reason we are creating the Nathan Philip Batman Rauch Fund. In Nathan's memory, donations to the fund will be used to support, give comfort and ease the burden for parents carrying and delivering seriously ill newborns by providing them with necessary items to nurture their children once they are brought home. It will also provide money to parents who wish to provide medical care that is not covered by insurance. In addition, the fund seeks to educate and raise awareness about chromosome disorders, specifically Trisomy 13 and 18. Our greatest desire is for doctors to realize that all babies are important, every life is precious and no one should ever be refused medical care, as Nathan was, simply because they have been diagnosed with a particular disorder or disease.

Nathan was a wonderful blessing from God for the short time he was here on earth. He changed our lives forever and he touched many others lives. If you or someone you love is dealing with this disorder, our desire is that you allow us, in honor of Nathan, to touch your life. The scripture verse at the top of this page says it best - "When others are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us."

A Baby's Secret

I'm just a little fellow who didn't quite make it there.
I went straight to be with Jesus, but I'm waiting for you here.
Don't you fret about me Mommy I'm of all God's lambs most blessed.
I'd have loved to stay there with you but the Shepherd knows what's best.
Many dwelling here where I live waited years to enter in.
Struggled through a world of sorrow and their lives were marred with sin.
So sweet Mommy don't you sorrow, wipe those tears and chase the gloom.
I went straight to Jesus' bosom from my lovely Mother's womb.
Thank you for the life you gave me, it was brief, but don't complain.
I have all of Heaven's glory and suffered none of earthing's pain.
